What is the irPIR Safety Inspection™?

An irPIR Safety Inspection™ is an alternative to Fixed Wire Testing and is the most cost effective method of compliance with BS7671:2008. Many of our clients had the need for a non-disruptive form of inspection that was still capable of delivering both compliance with the Electricity at Work Act (1989) and BS7671 as well as peace of mind that their site was safe. To meet this need, Elecheck developed the irPIR Safety Inspection™.

Unlike traditional Fixed Wire Testing; which requires a full or partial shutdown of your site's electrical installations, the irPIR Safety Inspection™ is conducted 'under load' on a live system. This means that down-time and disruption normally associated with traditional Fixed Wire Testing is avoided.
