Elecheck go Pink for Arthur Rank Hospice

21 Oct 2016

Local electrical safety testing company, Elecheck, created a buzz on the Cambridge Research Park this week when they hosted a special “Go Pink” day in aid of the Arthur Rank Hospice.

All staff, who were kitted out in their pink outfits, took part in a number of activities that were organised to make this a special day to thank the team at Arthur Rank Hospice for the great work they do, and to give something back to the Hospice and the local community. A luxury hamper was raffled, as well as a cake sale, and the “Best dressed guy or gal” award which was awarded to Emma Saunders in Accounts for their understandably amazing outfit.

Theresa Froment, HR Manager at Elecheck commented: “Following the excellent care that my father had, and the support that my sister and I received, this day was about recognising the work the Hospice does and their amazing staff. Nobody knows when you might need this special care, and to have such an incredible resource on our doorstep is invaluable.”

Donna Talbot, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, adds: “It’s wonderful when a company teams together to support a colleague like this. The Hospice really is a special place providing support when it is needed most and huge thanks must go to both Theresa for championing our cause and to everyone at Elecheck who got involved raising not only funds, but also awareness for us in such a fun and colourful way!”

Elecheck raised around £150 for the charity, which will go towards the new Arthur Rank Hospice which has been under construction since June 2014 at Shelford Bottom and is due to open to patients in mid-November.
