Elecheck’s unique service, the irPIR Safety Inspection was featured in the British Institute of Facilities Management magazine last month.
This new fixed wire inspection service eliminates the need for electrical shutdown and effectively reduces costs through decreased downtime. This innovative solution has already been successful in saving one NHS Trust over £100,000.
Traditional Periodic Inspection Reports require system shutdowns and disruption which can be a significant issue for a variety of organisations. In addition to the NHS, many industries such as Financial, Manufacturing, Facilities Management and Publishing organisations require business activities to be continuous
The irPIR Safety Inspection combines the visual inspection of a traditional ‘PIR’ utilising skilled electrical engineering labour, together with thermal imaging, which allows the engineer to ‘see’ any invisible degrading of an electrical system.
This service enables BS7671:2008 to be met in an efficient, non-intrusive manner whilst also identifying possible overloading that may normally go undetected.
The Building Services Manager at Cambridge Consultants, recently used this service at their premises and commented, “we encountered minimal disruption as we were able to undertake inspection during normal working hours. We are well and truly satisfied with the service".
