Elecheck Secures Contract With Southern Housing

The end of January saw Southern Housing chose to utilise our specialist compliance services to guarantee the health and safety compliance within a number of the properties they operate.

As one of southern England’s largest housing associations, Southern Housing own and manage 25,000 homes for more than 66,000 residents. They employ more than 900 people and work with more than 70 local authorities.

Elecheck have extensive experience working alongside many Housing Associations of various sizes, up and down the United Kingdom. Our understanding of the unique requirements this sector faces, from working out of normal hours to communicating and working around tenants  were quickly put to good use by Southern Housing.

Our wide ranging scope of works saw us undertake Fire Risk Assessments on around 1300 properties which led to the identification of a number of properties requiring an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).  As many as 200 of these properties have been given the go ahead for EICR to guarantee each and every one meets the latest industry standards and regulations.

In addition to the EICR, Elecheck will also be undertaking a range of remedial works, should they be required,  along with the testing in order to save time and make testing as cost efficient as possible.
